Eric H commented on JBIDE-1960:
-------------------------------
One additional note: in my example above, I was using error.gif, which comes in the
default project. error.gif is not a good file to use! Don't use it when you're
debugging this! error.gif seems to have "negative or zero size" according to
ImageMagick, so it does not display reliably in some browsers. I retried it with another
correct gif and got the same result: in-line CSS styles that involve background images do
not show up on Windows, but do show up on Linux, in Tools 2.0.1. So the bug is there and
is easily reproducible but don't use error.gif for your testing.
This is a critical show-stopper bug for our designer, who likes to use a lot of nice CSS
background images (this is all over the place on modern web pages).
Thanks
Problem with loading images from css style included with help of

Key: JBIDE-1960
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-1960
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Visual Page Editor
Affects Versions: 2.1
Reporter: Andrei Scherbovich
Assigned To: Maxim Areshkau
Fix For: 2.2.x
Attachments: Celebrere.zip, test.xhtml
Problem with loading css style included with help of <link> tag.
Steps:
1. EXECUTE: Unpack Celebrere.zip (attached) in WebContent/celebrere folder of a project
2. EXECUTE: Open index.html file in VPE and in browser
3. FAILURE: In VPE no header background image
4. EXECUTE: Open style.css file and find #header style declaration.
#header {
float: left;
position: relative;
width: 818px;
height: 139px;
text-align: left;
background-image: url(images/hd.gif);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
overflow: hidden;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
}
5. EXECUTE: Copy it into idex.html and refresh VPE
6. ASSERT: Now header background image is present
So now VPE has problem with resolving url if css style loaded via <link> tag.
