Dima, would like to take a stab at it ? The initial idea is to implement the core and ui Platform extensions points in Dali so Hibernate will show up as a supported platform - so we probably need a org.jboss.tools.hibernate.jpt.core and jpt.ui set of plugins Then we can go forward and hook in generate entities and special persistence.xml After that looking into other extensions like making it understand hbm.xml etc. But start with first providing the Hibernate paltform in Dali, and then create additonal jiras for the rest when you get an idea on how that will work.
