Right click on the project and Run As -> Run on Server then the main project ear/war will only be added to the project. The datasource file is no longer there, therefore, when the war is deployed it will fail because it needs the datasource. If I right click on the server and go to Add and Remove Projects, only the main project shows up, the datasouce does not.
