This is a GTK3 bug.
Ubuntu 12 (GTK 3.4) behaves as shown in your screencast.
On GTK3 >=3.10 (Ubuntu 14, Fedora 20), double-click, i.e., table editing doesn't
work at all.
A workaround
- call 'export SWT_GTK3=0' before starting Eclipse.
I will try to create a pure SWT test case and enter a bug against SWT GTK3.
