IMO the -jbdevstudio-uniti- jbdevstudio-unity script is also just another workaround, and
this script should be mentioned in the release notes. It just makes -you live- your life
easier if you're in love with -uniti- Unity, so that -jbds- JBDS can be started
without additional steps like -relogon- logging out and back in -with- to ubuntu classic
or adding env variables.

After installing jbdevstudio-product-linux-gtk-x86_64-4.1.0.v201107151650R-H633-CR3.jar,
it seems all menus but the "Window" one are missing.

I don't have the problem using a stock Helios JavaEE distro.
