Unable to recreate the issue with this JVM:
java -version
java version "1.6.0_20"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.9.8) (rhel-1.39.1.9.8.el6_1-x86_64)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 19.0-b09, mixed mode)
And the H28 build:
jbdevstudio-product-eap-linux-gtk-x86_64-5.0.0.v201109071858R-H28-M3.jar
jbdevstudio-product-linux-gtk-x86_64-5.0.0.v201109071858R-H28-M3.jar

Using Fedora 12 32-bit:

ASSERT: can install using openJDK 1.6 (eg., 1:1.6.0.0-43.1.8.3.fc12) -- did not work
using 1.6.0_18 (see attached screenshot)
Note:
Cannot reproduce using jbdevstudio-product-linux-gtk-5.0.0.v201108230443N-H744-M3.jar so
this is a recent regression since 2011/08/23.
