This fixes the default facet associated with EAP 5. 2) Apply your first patch (JBIDE-6056.patch) from this JIRA to allow users to modify the default facet settings if they need to do so. But we don't want to add a preset, as it seems the preset population got quickly out of control in the past and we want to avoid that problem again.
