Regarding an OOTB workaround for Wayland users, we have a workaround for Unity users:
https://github.com/jbdevstudio/jbdevstudio-product/blob/master/installer/...
We could do a similar thing to set *GDK_BACKEND=x11* prior to launching devstudio
executable. Not sure we can set environment variables in devstudio.ini - here's an
11yo bug asking for that sort of support:
