its great they got that as their default handling; my usecase is though I want to run a
main java class with a specific scope instead of the default one. I would expect that I
have an option for the classpath container to set it explicitly instead of the default.

Seems like m2eclipse maven classpath containers have no option for setting scope - how
are users to select either runtime, test or compile containers for their launches ?
