When the "ftl" type is selected and you add parameters, nothing gets generated. However the Freemarker resource does have multiple parameter that can be set, like encoding and bindId. Maybe the XSL template and FTL template shouldn't under the same template type. If those two would get splitted then you can ignore my Jira issue [JBIDE-3952].
