It looks like you right, it seems to be related to UNIX/Windows EOL. If I save and reopen
editor after Step 5. Everything is fine and '>' is in place. I played a bit
with EOL preferences and now I cannot reproduce it no matter what style is selected
Windows or UNIX. But it appears for fresh installation.

1. EXECUTE: Create Java Project
2. EXECUTE: Create Hibernate Console Configuration XML in it this project
3. ASSERT: Hibernate Console Configuration Editor is opened for created XML file
4. EXECUTE: Select 'Session Factory/Properties/JDBC' node and enter 1 in
'Batch Size' field
5. EXECUTE: Switch to Source tab
6. ASSERT: XML is well formed
Now it fails on step 6 and Closing session factory tag has no '>' (see
attached picture)
