This is a DTP bug that can be reproduced in the following way:
- open the Data Source Explorer view
- right-click some Database Connection (DeafaultDS, for instance) and select Properties
- click JDBC Connection Properties
- click OK
You will get the above mentioned exception.
This issue can be reproduced in JBT and JBDS.
