------------------------------------------------------------------
it looks like (could no test so far) the sysprop "os.name" is buggy on various
jre.
http://bugs.sun.com/view_bug.do?bug_id=6819886
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6220825
"os.version" seems reliable on the other hand. Win2000 will return
"5", XP returns "5.1", Vista "6" and Win7 "6.1".
A complete list is here:

JBoss tools usage reports Win7 only, should report all Windows
Versions

Key: JBIDE-7043

https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-7043
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: usage
Reporter: Andre Dietisheim
Assignee: Andre Dietisheim
The current implementation fakes a Win7 browser string only (user agent) and therefore
reports all Windows Versions as being Win7. Different Windows Versions should be reported
correctly, indivually.
