Francisco Jose Peredo Noguez updated JBIDE-2881:
------------------------------------------------
Environment: Windows XP, Java 1.5u14, Eclipse 3.3 (Configured in Eclipse.ini to use
UTF-8 as default encoding) (was: Windows XP, Java 1.5u14, Eclipse 3.3)
Incompatibility with UTF-8Y
---------------------------
Key: JBIDE-2881
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-2881
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 2.1.2
Environment: Windows XP, Java 1.5u14, Eclipse 3.3 (Configured in Eclipse.ini to
use UTF-8 as default encoding)
Reporter: Francisco Jose Peredo Noguez
Attachments: screenshot-1.jpg, screenshot-2.jpg
If, for example, components.xml is edited with another XML that saves it with encoding
UTF-8Y then the visual editor produces an error (I like that) but it does not help to fix
it (It took me a lot of hours to find out what was going on). It should offer to remove
the UTF-8Y BOM.
