Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-2210:
--------------------------------------------
Just had a chat with Galder, the default actually changes between 4.0 and 4.2.
4.0.x and before, we used to bind to 0.0.0.0 by default
from 4.2 onwards, we bind to localhost by default (for security reasons)
At first I then thought we should have different behavior for 4.0.x and 4.2 but actually
it is much better that
we set -b explicit since then we can make sure both startup and shutdown is bound to the
right interface and
increase the chance for actually being able to shutdown the server ;)
New Server wizard ignoring "Server's Host Name"
-----------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-2210
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-2210
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: JBossAS
Affects Versions: 2.1.0.CR1
Reporter: Galder Zamarreno
Assigned To: Rob Stryker
Fix For: 2.1.0.GA
When creating a new server, you can define a "Server's Host Name".
Shouldn't the value of this field used for JBDS to start AS/EAP instances
with -b <value of Server's Host Name>? It's not doing it right now.
