Started eclipse with jdk5, created ear - no problems Started eclipse with jdk6 (on same ws so still compliance level5) , create ear - no problems Started eclipse with jdk6 on new ws so compliance ends up being lvl6, create ear - get the compile problems, clean - no problems.
