Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-12865:
---------------------------------------------
Koen - this sounds to be a problem very fast.
we should try and fix this witha minimal improvement for 4.0 IMO:
On of the following could work:
- increase the default arguments to something "should be sufficient"
- add a "default VM args" to forge prefs that gets added on creation of
launchers
doable?
Ability to increase / specify Heap or JVM arguments when launching
Forge console (Configuration option)

Key: JBIDE-12865
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-12865
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: forge
Affects Versions: 4.0.0.Alpha2
Reporter: Lincoln Baxter III
Assignee: Koen Aers
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 4.0.0.CR1, 4.1.0.Alpha1
Forge can sometimes consume a great deal of memory when running certain plugins. It would
be nice if JVM arguments could be configured, or memory size increased to alleviate this
problem. Also starting with a slightly larger heap size should help with this as well.
