I've committed a fix for this issue, but haven't been able to test the actual
custom template usage in anything other than UI.. would you mind testing this with your
use case and telling me if any errors come up?

For Entity Generation we must use templates from Seam-gen. Now Hibernate Code Generation
allows only templates from eclipse workspace.
