Jpa projects with Hibernate platform already have some vlidations. One of them is your
example - validation of GenericGenerator strategy - it should be one of predefined
strategies or class which implements interface
"org.hibernate.id.IdentifierGenerator".
But I agree that we could look for more validations.

This validator post warn/error markers to make Domain Meta model developer aware of
database portability problems in application. Example is using real class in generator
class field instead of placeholder. All cases like this should be identified.
