Snjezana Peco commented on JBIDE-8548:
--------------------------------------
here is my suggestion expressed as a mockup.
Hope it makes it more clear.
It's possible to do that. Do you want me to add any Eclipse debug shortcut
(alt+shift+d+d, for instance) to the Remote Java Application action?
1) I don't get what those shortcuts are for and why we want to
steal so many shortcuts from eclipse
The user can define the "ctrl+d+0" shortcut, associate it with a remote
application running on the 8000 port and launch that remote application that's
listening on that port by clicking ctrl+d+0 without using the Debug As menu, for instance.
I have added 10 shortcuts declaratively because Eclipse doesn't allow adding/changing
any shortcut programmatically.
Would you like me to remove them all or some of them?
Support auto discovery of remote processes for debugging

https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-8548
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: JBossAS
Reporter: Aslak Knutsen
Assignee: Snjezana Peco
Fix For: 3.3.0.M3, 3.3.x

It would be helpful if Eclipse could provide a 'debug as' with auto discover of
local java processes, somewhat like jconsole does. Eclipse should also auto associate the
debug session with the current project.
'debug as' -> 'remote process x'
