Abridged JBoss Tools is there for an easy installation, the one you say "single-click" but removing the further categorization changes how it looks when merged with other updatesites in p2 UI thus lets just keep the categorization. btw. why don't you want an "JBoss Application Development" ? this is exactly what that category is about. Note, the content of this becomes more clear when you add in SOA which adds even more categorization.
