I tried both 1.6.0_04 and 1.5.0_14. Both versions with the option "-server"
%JBOSS_HOME%/server/default/log/boot.log shows:

Jmx DeploymentScanner has suspendDeployment() and resumeDeployment() which could be
usefull to call before/after deployment.

pollute existing configurations.
