Could you create some web application and try to open it with Run As>Run on Server.
Is there anything in the log ?
I have never faced this issue. The Run As>Run on Server action is a WTP action.
It seems you are talking about similar issue in JBIDE-9886 (the same action) so I believe
you have a problem with your JBDS distribution. Try to reinstall it.
