Martin Malina closed JBIDE-9384.
--------------------------------
I verified this in JBDS 5.0.1. In the first scenario when you just wait what happens, it
throws an appropriate error after a minute or so. In the second scenario when you try to
cancel the publish right after you're certain the server is no longer accessible - in
this case nothing happens right away and there seems to be progress for some time which is
not true. And then finally the error appears. It is not very convenient - it should be
terminated right away. But this is similar to when you download a project example (File
-> New -> Example) so I guess that's a more general problem of how eclipse
works. So I am closing this issue.
Unabel to cancel remote publishing job when connection interrupts
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-9384
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-9384
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: JBossAS/Servers, UpStream
Affects Versions: 3.2.1.CR3
Reporter: Libor Zoubek
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 3.3.1
I have troubles with background job, which deploys to remote server. If connection gets
interrupted during deployment, job gets stuck. I am not able to even close eclipse because
of this job.
Is it possible to influence things like connection timeouts etc?
