Don't worry, I don't want to create more work ;) I think such changes will make us
follow the same patterns as code and will finally end by making small tasks not necessary
to always backport and to ensure we can always rebuild old stuff without effort.
It's investment for doing less, that's progress!

We tried this a year ago and it wasn't very successful, but it's worth
considering it again.
We can use `mvn deploy` to push the parent pom (and perhaps the target platform's
pom) to nexus for reuse by downstream components.
