Max Andersen commented on JBIDE-7099:
-------------------------------------
Wes, only parts of JBoss Tools requires JEE (or rather specifically Eclipse WTP) but if
you have "check all updatesites" enabled it should go get all the dependencies.
I've updated the update_3_2.html page to say "We recommend you start with the
Eclipse 3.6 Helios JEE Bundle in order to install JBoss Tools 3.2 (less dependencies to
download)"
Better ?
JBoss Tools requires 'Eclipse for Java EE Developers'
-----------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-7099
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-7099
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Task
Reporter: Wes Munsil
Priority: Minor
Apparently JBoss Tools requires that 'Eclipse for Java EE Developers' be
installed. Please see
http://community.jboss.org/message/547437.
This is hinted at by
http://www.jboss.org/tools/download/installation/update_3_1.html but
not explicitly stated. The text there refers to 'Eclipse 3.5.2 Galileo JEE Bundle'
and 'Eclipse 3.5.2 Platform Runtime Binary', but neither of those names appears on
the page to which 'Eclipse 3.5.2 Galileo Bundles' links (which is
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/galileo/sr2 ).
Can the documentation be made more clear?
