Indeed, it was the latter - no VM crash as far as I can tell. Eclipse simply shuts down
without any notice, there's no sign of the well-known pop-up indicating the exit code
or further parameters/properties.

In JBDS 5.0.x with ´SOA and Data Services Tooling´ installed, the IDE cannot be started
