Aslak, Max,
The action you described would open a dialog similar to the Remote Java Application launch
configuration dialog?
The user would get ports for all the application started in the debug mode and would be
able to select some of them.
The action would be active only when starting Eclipse using Oracle or Open JDK >= 1.6.
Do you agree?

It would be helpful if Eclipse could provide a 'debug as' with auto discover of
local java processes, somewhat like jconsole does. Eclipse should also auto associate the
debug session with the current project.
'debug as' -> 'remote process x'
