Alexey Kazakov commented on JBIDE-9198:
---------------------------------------
After discussion with Max:
# Let's remove this wizard at all since adding WTP JSF facet is enough to enable JBoss
Tools JSF support.
# Configure->Add JSF capability-> should point to Project Facets properties page for
the project with Web Dynamic Project/JSF facets enabled. If the project is not faceted
project then we should open a dialog with warning that the project is not faceted and a
link/button to Project Facets properties page to convert the project to faceted form.
Cannot add JSF capabilities to a project with no web.xml

Key: JBIDE-9198
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-9198
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: JSF
Reporter: Brian Leathem
Assignee: Viacheslav Kabanovich
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 3.3.x
The Seam Faces impl project defines facelet files that are used as composite components
vy projects that use Seam Faces. When I try to edit one of these facelet files, I am
prompted to add JSF capabilities to the project in order to get JSF completion. However I
am unable to add JSF capabilities, as I am required to point to an exisiting web.xml file.
The Seam Faces impl project does not have a web.xml file. I does however have a
web-fragment.xml (I don't know if that's relevant).
It would be nice to take advantage of the JSF tooling in "JSF library projects"
without necessarily having a web.xml file.
