Which wizard are you referring to ?
the page.xml graphical editor does not support multiple .page.xml files - eventually it
was decided not to focus on supporting the page.xml approach since it has other flaws.

When creating entities from scratch, the wizard does not generate a
<component>.page.xml file. There's no option in the menu to create this file
manually either.
