The reason is that the Drools plugin (5.0+) does not directly support Drools 4.x ruleflows. Note that the Drools runtimes still allow you to execute Drools 4.x ruleflows, but they cannot be edited by the plugin (though we can auto-convert them to Drools 5.x format). To remove this error message, I could use the auto-convert when validating Drools 4.x ruleflows.
