Please expose in details. To my mind copying from the source is a good practice. Because visual preview in VPE is simplified and used for user's convenience. The original base is in the source part. So copy/cut operation should be performed on the basis of source selection. Moreover when you select just text in the visual part you will get exactly the same text in the clipboard.
