Nick Boldt commented on JBDS-2202:

AND select Mylyn from cr1 extras site it should install without problems. Right?
Correct.
That's fine. There are no categorized items. You just need the site there to resolve
deps.
If you want a simpler approach, just add this ONE site:
https://devstudio.jboss.com/updates/5.0/staging/central/core/ (composite site which
includes Extras, Core, and TP)
Cannot install Mylyn (Selected) feature

Key: JBDS-2202
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-2202
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: updatesite
Affects Versions: 5.0.0.CR1
Reporter: Lucia Jelinkova
Assignee: Nick Boldt
Fix For: 5.0.0.CR1
I added following sites to the JBDS CR1b:
http://www.qa.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/updates/development/5.0.0.CR1b.core...
http://www.qa.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/updates/development/5.0.0.CR1b.extras/
When I tried to install Mylyn, I got the following error:
{code}
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Mylyn (Selected) 1.1.0.v20120605-2229-H183-CR1
(com.jboss.jbds.mylyn.feature.feature.group 1.1.0.v20120605-2229-H183-CR1)
Missing requirement: Mylyn (Selected) 1.1.0.v20120605-2229-H183-CR1
(com.jboss.jbds.mylyn.feature.feature.group 1.1.0.v20120605-2229-H183-CR1) requires
'com.atlassian.connector.commons 0.0.0' but it could not be found
{code}
In JBDS-2175 there is described that one has to have the
https://devstudio.jboss.com/updates/5.0/staging/ site added in order for Extras to work.
Do the Extras work just with that site or are they supposed to work with any target
platfom site (in my case
http://www.qa.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/updates/development/5.0.0.CR1b.core...
