Andre Dietisheim commented on JBIDE-12909:
------------------------------------------
@Stefan: the primary goal of this issue is to have JBDS6 loading and updating the
connections that are created with JBDS5. Of course having preliminary releases (like JBDS6
Beta1 you tested) working well is a goal too - if possible - but this is secondary. I just
talked to Max and he confirmed. I'll try to replicate what you experienced with JBDS6
Beta1 and see what I can do about it.
existing connections are not loaded in Beta1

Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 4.0.0.Beta1
Reporter: Andre Dietisheim
Assignee: Andre Dietisheim
Fix For: 4.0.0.CR1
Attachments: connection.png
In JBIDE-12826 we described how we'd stay compatible to old username based settings
for project- and connection settings. The project settings are handled correctly but
existing connections are not loaded as described:

connection list (connection pool, that's also used by the OpenShift Explorer):
* The current key/values only use the username. Migration:
* we keep the existing preference key/values
* we create a new preference key
* the connection pool is loading the old and new preferences
* the connection pool is storing the connections that define connections to the default
server to the old preferences
