I resolved this issue since this issue is due to the (Google) GWT plugin not checking the
presence of a SDK when building (NPE as stated above). There's nothing we can do about
that but to make sure we have the GWT SDK installed. We do that by having an optional
dependency to the GWT SDK. Unfortunately there's a bug with this as stated in
JBIDE-8145
