Can you reproduce the issue using some other OS or using some other project example?
Could you download
http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbosstools/workspace/dflorian/teiid-design...
and try to import the project using the standard Eclipse "Import>Existing Projects
into Workspace" action?
