Victor Rubezhny commented on JBDS-1516:
---------------------------------------
Max, probably we can't.
I can't reproduce (on Ubuntu 10.10) the effect of White blinking while loading a page
- this may occur on a slow machine (or in virtual machine, because all they are mostly
running slower). But I don't see this effect in my Core2Duo P8600 @ 2.4GHz under
Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit.
"The white stripe" occurs because the internal browser in eclipse doesn't
calculates proper width/height for the html-elements, doesn't re-calculates the
positions for the elements on scrolling and so on. I defeated in fighting this effect, but
probably latest browser will help. Need to test/fight this effect in Eclipse 3.7/Xulrunner
1.9.2. I didn't find a way to fix in Eclipse 3.6/Xulruner 1.9.1.
Navigation between links on welcome screen should be uninterrupted

Key: JBDS-1516
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-1516
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: ui/branding
Affects Versions: 4.0.0.CR1
Reporter: Lukas Jungmann
Assignee: Victor Rubezhny
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 5.0.0.M1
Attachments: test-0000.mpeg
-shrink the JBDS window a bit and click on links on the welcome screen
I can see two issues here:
-the loading of the link should be uninterrupted, as of now one can see white/empty page
between clicking on the link and displaying the contents of the link
-the white strip (the one containing the RH and JBoss logos) does not have fixed position
at the bottom of the window, ie if one needs to scroll, he may not be able to follow link
hidden by the strip
video from ubuntu 10.10 is attached
