Denny Xu commented on JBIDE-2545:
---------------------------------
It has been reported.
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=251497
But for now, I don't think it's a bug, I tried some times today and find out
why the default server type is not picked up, there two reasons to make the default server
type is not picked up, one is that if the project has already adde
to ServerA module list, if added, then on the new web service dialog, the default server
will be the ServerA.
Another fact is the project primary target runtime, if the project has not added to any
server, then the primary target runtime will be the default server when creating web
service.
so only when the project has no primary target runtime and has not added to any server,
the default server of the preference page will be picked up.
Juergen, does it make sense to you?
JBossWS-Tools: Eclipse's Preferences not fully considered
---------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-2545
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-2545
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Webservices
Affects Versions: 3.0.0.alpha
Environment: Eclipse 3.4.1 M20080716, WTP 3.0.1 M20080710, JBossTools nightly
20080717
Reporter: Juergen Zimmermann
Fix For: 3.0.0.cr1
Attachments: screenshot-creating-web-service-part1.jpg,
screenshot-creating-web-service-part2.jpg, screenshot-preferences.jpg
Web services can be configured as follows:
-> Window -> Preferences -> Web Services -> Server and Runtime:
Server: JBoss 4.2
Web service runtime: JBossWS
So far so good. Now I have an EJB module with a session bean to be exposed as a web
service. I'm invoking:
-> <right click> -> Other -> Web Service:
-> Configuration:
Server: Tomcat 6.0 [instead of the preconfigured JBoss
4.2 !!!]
Web service runtime: JBossWS [ok: see configuration above]
