For which repos? You'll have to get one of the uber-leaders (Max, Denis, or Fred) to
do this unless you want to provide 26 pull requests.
Also should ensure all 26 repos have target/ excluded too.

Sorry - this was missed in the chaos, it was on my todo list.
All repos now have a .gitignore in the root with:
bin/
target/
If you got editors that creates files with ~ or other funky characters I suggest you set a
global-ignore for this.

http://augustl.com/blog/2009/global_gitignores
Then it applies for *All* your gitrepos and not just individual ones.

bin/

hibernatetools could get that added to its .gitignore or fixed its build to be
consistent.
.settings ...hmm..maybe but I think *some* places this one is needed/used. should try and
find them.
