Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-1183:
------------------------------------
JBoss itself does not support JDK 6.0, so why should the JBoss AS Adapter support it?
I can easily make the change, but my question is, if JBoss itself does not support JDK 6,
then why would JBossWS require JDK 6?
Java Facet 6.0 for EJB, Web and App Client Projects
---------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-1183
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-1183
Project: JBoss Tools
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 2.0.0.Beta4
Environment: WTP 2.0.1, JBossTools Nightly Build 20071017
Reporter: Juergen Zimmermann
Assigned To: Rob Stryker
Fix For: 2.0.0.CR1
When creating an EJB or dynamic Web or Application Client Project then the Java facet
only allows "5.0", but not "6.0". WTP 2.0 and 2.0.1 allow 6.0 for
their generic JBoss adapter.
The restriction to 5.0 makes it impossible to create secure Web Services with JBossWS and
JDK 1.6. Please allow also 6.0 for the Java facets of these project types. Thank you.
