i have no exceptions in the Error log view and i pressed Ctrl+Alt+Q but nothing happened
what does it do? or do you mean Ctrl+Shift+Q to simply bring up the view log view itself.

I see another one problem here. Why editing on 'Tree' tab is disabled? It
shouldn't be. There is an error in hbm.xml but that's logical error. xml is well
formed and there is no reason to lock Tree tab.

I see another one problem here. Why editing on 'Tree' tab is disabled? It
shouldn't be. There is an error in hbm.xml but that's logical error. xml is well
formed and there is no reason to lock Tree tab (see JBIDE-5163).

i'm not really sure about that, i mean the tree is after all a logical represntation
of the dtd, when editing the saving the tree, the assumption is that it will preserve a
consistent state where the xml will still be valid, otherwise it won't persist it.
giving an invalid xml in the first place invalidates that assumption and may produce and
incosistent result.

this is an update, i've just noticed the ALL my xml validations have gone away. look
up i saw that you need add validation builders to every project you create, this is
insance, i never used to do that, who or what is responsible for this break down.
however this still doesn't solve entity reference problem, the tree will still be
disabled and report an error if you add it.

sorry about that, i've reverted back to jboss tools 3.0.2 as the stable versiom,
i'm using it with eclipse 3.5.1 this is becouse the latest build as i understand had a
huge memory leak , and that cause problems. i'll wait for the offical release. and see
if that happens again.

if i remove the key columns the tree editor will report an error but the xml editor
won't.
dito with using entity references with classpath, the tree editor reports an error, while
xml does not (and this time the tree editor is wrong off course).
