Nick Boldt commented on JBTIS-358:
----------------------------------
Nope. because they would only depend on (not include) requirements. And they'd use
0.0.0. Like we do for the JBDS "Core Features" feature. It's just a
container for convenience. It's *NOT* a product definition.
So to recap:
a) use requires, not includes, with 0.0.0 and get flexible update ability (like we have
for JBDS BYOE)
or
b) use includes, not requires, with set x.y.z versions, and get restricted update ability
(can only update from one "product" to another, like we have for JBDS
installer)
Use wrapper features to simplify the install and clean up the
Marketplace UI?

Key: JBTIS-358
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBTIS-358
Project: JBoss Tools Integration Stack
Issue Type: Bug
Components: distribution
Affects Versions: 7.0.3.GA
Reporter: Nick Boldt
Fix For: 7.1.0.GA-JBDSIS
For 7.1.0, could consider having wrapper features to simplify the install and clean up
the Marketplace UI. Doing so would mean instead of a laundry list of features in the UI,
we could list only 3 features.
