Ramesh Reddy commented on JBDS-1277:
------------------------------------
Prior to 7.0, Teiid is deployed as stand-alone server or embedded server. These versions
are NOT designed to overlay on top of the JBoss AS and expect them to work. However you
can deploy Teiid as data source in earlier versions in JBoss AS. See installation
instructions here
https://community.jboss.org/docs/DOC-12956
Teiid 7.0 is completely different from its predecessors, we took upon the runtime model of
MC and JBoss AS and designed Teiid around it thus its dependency on JBoss AS. Deploying in
EAP was not a target for 7.0, but it should not be that different. We just need to figure
out the differences and fix them. We compile and build Teiid with 1.6 SDK, is that a issue
with EAP?
Applying teiid-7.0.0-jboss-dist to the intergrated EAP install of
JBDS breaks the server

Key: JBDS-1277
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-1277
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 3.0.1.GA
Environment: Fedora 13 64bit, JBDS 3.0.1 with EAP intergrated and Teiid 7.0
stable community release
Reporter: Isaac Rooskov
Assignee: Barry LaFond
Priority: Blocker
Attachments: JBDS_EAP_Teiid_Errors
Applying teiid-7.0.0-jboss-dist to the integrated EAP install of JBDS breaks the server.
However if you install JBossAS 5.1 (from the community) into JBDS and deploy Teiid on
that then it all works.
- - > The server configuration I have been using is 'default' in both
instances since that is recommended on the page I found on how to install Teiid:
http://community.jboss.org/wiki/Teiid70InstallationGuide
I will attach the console output I see from the integrated EAP of JBDS after installing
Teiid.
