Andre Dietisheim commented on JBIDE-9089:
-----------------------------------------
I would proceed in the following way:
# create a dynamic web project with an invalid web.xml (ex. change a closing tag to
something invalid)
# deploy it, and see how a .failed marker appears in the deployment folder of as7
# now correct the web.xml to something valid again
# clean the deployment
# now see that the deployment is active (ex. watch the server log that now picks the
deployment)
# check that there's no .failed marker in the deployment folder (it should only have a
.deployed marker)
AS7: DeploymentMarkerUtils#removeDeployFailedMarkerIfExists does not
remove .failed marker
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-9089
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-9089
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: JBossAS
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.M1
Reporter: Andre Dietisheim
Assignee: Andre Dietisheim
Fix For: 3.3.0.M2
DeploymentMarkerUtils#removeDeployFailedMarkerIfExists does not remove the .failed
marker. It actually removes the .deployed marker:
removeDeployedMarkerIfExists(method, deployableServer, module, monitor);
