Currently, it is possible to test the plugin only within PDE. The plugin doesn't require any JBT plugins, but the Sapphire framework. I have tested the 0.7 version(http://download.eclipse.org/sapphire/0.7/repository), but the latest 8.0 version (not 0.8) would also need to work. The editor doesn't update pom.xml.
