Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-5540:
--------------------------------------------
1) It is not mandatory since you should be able to say you don't want the wizard to
force the libraries for the runtime on to you ( i.e. if you use maven or something else
for your libraries).
I simply think the error should be a warning stating that there is no server selected so
there won't be any libraries made available, but feel free to continue if you wish to
do so.
2) There is no real "particual server & runtime" in a session since there
could be multiple, but I agree in the case of there only being one we could definitly
default and even then we should probably introduce a default one at least for the wizards
we can control.
New ESB Project Wizard - Late Error Message: "Please specify the
project primary target runtime"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-5540
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-5540
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: esb
Environment: jbdevstudio-win32-3.0.0.v200912111227M-H41-RC1
Reporter: Burr Sutter
Fix For: 3.1.0.GA
Attachments: New_ESB_Project_Target_Runtime_Issue.pdf
The error message "Please specify the project primary target runtime" shows up
late in the wizard flow, it should have shown up on the first screen that asked for the
primary target runtime.
If the Primary Target Runtime was going to be mandatory, it should have stopped me on the
first screen. It could have been defaulted as well, since I had obviously been working
with a particular server & runtime in my session.
The attached PDF illustrates the workflow.
