Galder Zamarreno commented on JBIDE-2247:
-----------------------------------------
I did create a separate server for it. When I first created a cluster,
I couldn't get the 2nd server to start until the first one had finished
starting. However, in the latest tests I've run, this works fine,
several servers can start in parallel which is handy. I would therefore
close this JIRA.
Thinking about this, maybe in the future you can group servers
together as a cluster, and click on something like: "Start Cluster". JB Tools
would then start each server separated by a configurable time. For example:
- start server 1, wait X seconds
- start server 2, wait X seconds
- start server 3, wait X seconds.
...
That would safe me having to click 3 times start... :)
Support for concurrent AS startups
----------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-2247
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-2247
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: JBossAS
Affects Versions: 2.1.0.CR1
Reporter: Galder Zamarreno
Fix For: 3.0.x
Paralell start of AS instances should be supported. If I have a cluster of
2 nodes, I know I can start the 2nd node as soon as I've seen the first
JGroups channel being created in the 1st started node.
