Martin Malina commented on TOOLSDOC-477:
----------------------------------------
[~ldimaggio], can you check? I never got this because I never run Eclipse directly from
command line. And I tried now and didn't see it on OS X. But I see this regularly when
running e.g. WildFly 8.1 with java 8. I think there was another JIRA for this and the
conclusion was that it will have to be left as is for now. So yeah, we could document
this. But first Len will have to confirm that it still happens for him.

Key: TOOLSDOC-477
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TOOLSDOC-477
Project: Documentation for JBoss Tools and Developer Studio
Issue Type: Task
Components: Release Notes
Affects Versions: 4.2.0.Beta1
Environment: Java8
JBT 4.2.0.beta1
Reporter: Len DiMaggio
Assignee: Michelle Murray
Fix For: 4.2.0.Beta1
Original Estimate: 1 hour
Remaining Estimate: 1 hour
Starting eclipse with Java8 raises this error:
./eclipse
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=256m; support was
removed in 8.0
It's not a bug in JBoss Tools - but it would be good to warn users about it.
