Nick Boldt commented on JBIDE-6982:
-----------------------------------
Tycho is still fail for producing this; have gone back to p2.mirror, which is slow, tends
to timeout, but with a few attempts does successfully produce a p2 repo complete w/
metadata.
So, I've now got:
/home/hudson/static_build_env/jbds/target-platform/e36-wtp322.target, which is accessible
in the parent/pom.xml using `-P helios-local-target`:
http://hudson.qa.jboss.com/hudson/view/DevStudio_Tycho/job/jbosstools-3.2...
And I'm also uploading these two repos:
http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/target-platform/e361-wtp322....
http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/target-platform/latest/
-----
So, now all that's left here is to:
(1) install this into Eclipse along w/ the deltapack, and
(2) make that available on Hudson in /home/hudson/static_build_env/jbds/, then
(3) use
-Dtycho.targetPlatform=/home/hudson/static_build_env/jbds/path/to/installed/eclipse when
running jobs.
Note too that I would consider scripting this fully from end-to-end, but since it needs to
only happen 3-4 times a year, and tends to fail during the p2.mirror step, it's
probably better to just do it by hand for now. Instead, I need:
(4) wiki documentation on the process of getting from .target file to
p2.director-installed platform

Create
eclipse.org deps mirror from .target file on
download.jboss.org
