The apparent "gotcha" is that if you take a project and deploy it to OpenShift
using the Wizard (JBoss Central), it sets the Context Root to "/". The
workaround is to use Maven Update Project Configuration to get the correct content root to
be reset.

this was fixed via JBIDE-11735.
And yes, import to openshift had an error trying to set the /.
This was tricky to spot since an update from pom.xml would set it back to the correct
version.
In CR1 the openshift server adapter will assume that the main deployed project is deployed
in the / at all times, independent on the context root set. That should make it work on
both locally and remote openshift.
